Yogi Adityanath was born on 5 June 1972 in a family from Pachor village of Yamkeshwar tehsil, situated in Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand. Yogi Adityanath’s father’s name is Anand Singh Bisht, who was a forest ranger. His mother Savitri Devi is a housewife. Yogi Adityanath’s family has three sisters and three brothers, in which Yogi Adityanath comes fifth.

Yogi Adityanath’s early education: After completing his primary schooling in the primary school of Pauri, Uttarakhand, he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Science from Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna University. After that, Yogi Adityanath joined college to obtain MSc in Mathematics. But at this time, due to the Ram Mandir movement, his mind got attached to that movement and his attention started getting diverted from studies.
Yogi Adityanath had joined the emerging leaders of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad in the college itself. Yogi Adityanath renounced worldly life at the age of 22. After doing so, he took admission in Sanyas Ashram.
To start the life of asceticism, Yogi Adityanath met Mahant Awaiyanath, after that he accepted the life of Sanyas and his name also changed from Ajay Bisht to Yogi Adityanath. In the year 1994, Mahant Awaiyanath gave Guru Diksha of Nath sect to Yogi Adityanath and he After making him his disciple, Ajay Bisht became Yogi Adityanath forever and after the death of Mahant Avaidyanath in 2014, Yogi Adityanath was made the Mahant of Gorakhnath temple.
Yogi Adityanath’s father Anand Singh Bisht was a forest ranger. Anand Singh Bisht passed away in April 2020. His mother is a housewife. Apart from this, Yogi Adityanath has three elder sisters in his family, one elder brother and two younger brothers.
Political life of Yogi Adityanath
Yogi Adityanath’s political life starts from 1998 itself, when he won the 12th Lok Sabha elections from Gorakhpur and then he became an MP at the age of just 26. After that, he continued to become an MP from Gorakhpur. But after Modi government was formed in 2014, assembly elections were to be held in UP in 2017.
